In this East Midlands Cyber Security Forum event, hosted by Santander, we looked at issues around managing and insuring cyber risk.
This event originally took place on the 21st May 2015 at the Santander branch in Liecester.
Dr Russell Price from the Cyber Risk & Insurance Forum and Tim Johnson, a Cyber Insurance specialist from Browne Jacobson, covered:
- how insurance fits as part of an overall risk management approach;
- an overview of the current state of the cyber insurance market;
- the type of policies available and what they do (and don’t) cover;
- likely future developments in cyber insurance.
We also had a short discussion session with Stephen Rhodes and Steve Williams from the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills on cyber in the East Midlands; the latest government initiatives; and the cyber landscape post-election.
